About the Business One-Stop Shop Hub (Hub)
The Hub is a business administration tool for business owners, associates, and practitioners. Once logged into the Hub, you can create business profiles; create and save checklists; receive notifications and our quarterly newsletter; store and share documents; access other business systems; and more!
Department of State’s Business Filing Services
You must login to the Hub to access the logged in version of Department of State’s Business Filing Services system. Business Filing Services is the system used to submit filings to officially register, amend, or close a business, file UCC documents, as well as find and purchase existing business and UCC records. Once signed in, from My Dashboard, click the Department of State icon to access Business Filing Services.
Help Center
The Help Center is accessible either before or after logging into the Hub, so you can get the assistance you need without being required to create a user account or provide personal information. The Help Center contains a variety of tools, including help guides, help videos, business licensing reference guides, and a Find Business Experts tool. These tools cover the most common processes and information related to managing a business in PA:
- Business Licensing Reference Guides: Learn about the requirements (e.g., licensing, sales tax, laws/regulations) associated with common business activities.
- Find Business Experts: Final local business experts to assist with a variety of business needs.
- Help Guides: Get step-by-step instructions to assist with navigating the Hub, Business Filing Services, and myPATH.
- Videos: Get assistance with registering an LLC or fictitious name, navigating myPATH, or hiring employees in PA.
- FAQs: Find answers to common questions.
When it comes to managing a business in PA, the goal of the Help Center is to provide the necessary tools to make you self-sufficient, without a need to pay an attorney, CPA, or third-party filing service, or call and wait on long holds.
Business Checklist
The Business Checklist is an interactive application that can provide you with step-by-step instructions to manage your business in PA. You can get customized step-by-step instructions for starting a new business; registering an out-of-state business; expanding or acquiring a business; amending a business; or closing a business in PA. The goal of the Business Checklist is to take the guess work out of completing the necessary steps to manage your business in PA.
My Dashboard
On My Dashboard you can access the various features of the Hub. Use the Quick Actions to navigate to various Commonwealth systems based on the specific action you want to take. If you create a checklist, you can track and quickly update your progress as you register, amend, or close a business in PA. Additionally, quickly access businesses and systems you use frequently.
My PA Apps
My PA Apps is a collection of Commonwealth systems that a user can access to register their business and/or apply for business licenses, taxes, and/or permits. The Business Filing Services system uses single sign-on functionality to seamlessly log you in without the need to enter your credentials again. Other systems will require you to register for a user account separately.
My Business(es)
In My Business(es), you can create business profiles for a new or existing business with which you are associated. If you are the business owner, you can create the business profile yourself. If you are a practitioner or business associate, you can create a business profile and send a request to an owner for approval. Business profiles can have multiple owners, practitioners, and/or business associates. Every user can create multiple business profiles. NOTE: Creating a business profile does not officially register your business with the Commonwealth.
My Profile
In My Profile, you can manage your Keystone Login user account information, including your username, password, security questions, and contact details. The information in My Profile is shared across all Commonwealth systems that use Keystone Login. The email address is also used for your Business Filing Services account with the PA Department of State.
